FEET AND ANKLES

whole health osteopathy feet and ankles whole health osteo

Foot and ankle pain can be debilitating, particularly when we are on them so much, and they’re carrying us around all day. When our ankles and feet are in pain, not only do we struggle to walk around day-to-day, but it can also have a huge flow-on effect on the rest of our body.

The foot and ankle are made up of several small bones interconnected by ligaments, muscles and fascia all working together to give the strength, stability and flexibility the foot and ankle need to function properly.

WORKING WITH PODIATRISTS
COMMON PAIN COMPLAINTS

Physiotherapists work well in conjunction with podiatrists and strong referral between the two is supported by Whole Health Osteopathy.

Diagnosis and education are important when dealing with your foot pain. This includes appropriate footwear, stretching or strengthening, strapping, bracing or referral for orthotics.

It is also important that the rest of your body is assessed or treated, so that you limit compensated pain from a change in your stride, due to pain or restriction.
