You might recognise this
People with chronic tendon pain, calcific conditions, plantar fasciitis, shin splints, tennis elbow, shoulder tendinopathy, or soft tissue conditions that have plateaued with manual therapy alone. If you've been told to just rest and wait, or that you might need a cortisone injection, shockwave therapy may be the missing piece.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Sessions are typically 15-30 minutes. The shockwave applicator is applied directly to the affected area; most people describe the sensation as intense pressure rather than pain. A course of 3-6 sessions is usually recommended, spaced 1 week apart.
PRICING & ELIGIBILITY
Shockwave at Whole Health
We offer $59 shockwave-only appointments because we believe in the technology, we believe in the results, and we believe cost shouldn't be a barrier to accessing effective healthcare.

There are a few conditions to be aware of:

-
You'll need to complete a brief health and eligibility checklist before your first session to confirm that shockwave is safe and appropriate for your presentation.
-
All new patients need to have a 60-minute initial consult first; this can include your first shockwave session, so you're not doubling up on appointments.
-
Shockwave-only sessions are a strict 15-minute block. A brief check-in, treatment, and guidance on how you're tracking. No time for additional complaints in this appointment type.
WHAT IS IT?
Understanding shockwave therapy
Radial Shockwave Therapy uses high-energy acoustic waves to stimulate healing in chronic tendon and soft-tissue conditions. It works by increasing blood flow, breaking down calcific deposits, and triggering the body's natural repair response in tissues that have stopped healing on their own. At Whole Health, we use shockwave as part of a comprehensive treatment plan, not as a standalone intervention, meaning you get the benefit of both the technology and the clinical reasoning behind it.
