CONDITIONS WE TREAT
Mental Health Support
Trauma-informed counselling and psychotherapy for children, young people, and adults. A genuinely safe space to do real work.

WHAT IS IT?
Understanding mental health support
Mental health sits at the centre of overall wellbeing, and yet accessing the right support can feel overwhelming. At Whole Health, Rebecca Harris offers trauma-informed counselling and psychotherapy from a dedicated counselling room at our South Morang clinic.
Her approach is deliberately client-led, meaning the pace, direction, and focus of sessions are guided by you rather than by a fixed protocol. Rebecca works from a foundation of genuine curiosity about each person's experience. She does not position herself as the expert in the room.
Instead, she creates conditions where people feel safe enough to explore what is actually going on, which is often different from what first brings them through the door.
Mental health support at Whole Health operates alongside osteopathic and allied health care rather than as a separate service. For presentations where physical and psychological factors are intertwined, such as chronic pain, stress-related tension, or trauma held in the body, the ability to work with practitioners across both disciplines in one clinic can be genuinely valuable.

Rebecca's approach is flexible, client-led, and grounded in genuine presence. No two sessions look the same.
Rebecca draws on a range of evidence-informed therapeutic approaches tailored to each person and presentation. These may include trauma-informed frameworks, somatic and body-based work, nervous system regulation strategies, and developmental trauma approaches.
For children, sessions are adapted to their age, developmental stage, and what feels safe and engaging for them. Parents are involved in a way that supports the child without compromising the therapeutic relationship.
Rebecca also works extensively in education and training, speaking to schools, organisations, and communities about mental health, trauma, and behaviour. She is the author of Safe to Learn, a book on embedding trauma-informed student wellbeing practices, and is currently working on her second book.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Your first appointment
Rebecca is always open to an initial conversation before a first appointment, particularly for parents who want to explore whether she might be the right fit for their child and family.
First sessions are gentle and exploratory. There is no expectation that you will share everything immediately. The relationship between client and therapist takes time to build, and Rebecca respects that process.
Sessions are available for individuals, couples, children, and families. Short-term, long-term, and single sessions are all available depending on your needs and goals.
